Before you read further
- Nothing here is a recommendation to use any specific peptide. It's background, so your conversation with GFC Lab's clinicians starts from an informed place.
- Several peptides below are FDA-approved prescription medications for specific uses. Most others are compounded or still in clinical trials — they are not FDA-approved for the general uses discussed in the field, and claims about them are based on early research, not established medical consensus.
- Dosing, stacking and self-administration decisions should never be made from an article. They belong to a licensed clinician who has evaluated you.
- If you want to explore whether any of this is appropriate for you, book a GFC Lab visit — that's where the real decision gets made.
Metabolic & weight management
A GLP-1 receptor agonist — FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes and, at higher doses, chronic weight management. Slows digestion and signals fullness to the brain.
A dual GLP-1/GIP receptor agonist, FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes and weight management. Targets both insulin response and appetite regulation.
Investigational — not yet FDA-approved. A triple GLP-1/GIP/glucagon agonist currently in Phase 3 trials, studied for weight management and metabolic health.
A modified fragment of growth hormone studied for its role in fat metabolism, without the broader effects of full growth hormone.
A small molecule studied for its effect on fat-storage signaling and lean mass preservation during weight loss.
Growth hormone support
A growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) analog, FDA-approved for a specific indication (reduction of excess abdominal fat in some patients). Signals the pituitary to release the body's own stored growth hormone, rather than supplying it directly.
Recovery & tissue repair
A compounded peptide studied for its role in blood flow and tissue repair signaling, commonly discussed in the context of soft-tissue and gut-lining recovery. Not FDA-approved.
A compounded peptide studied for its role in cell migration and tissue repair signaling. Not FDA-approved.
Mitochondrial & cellular energy
A mitochondrial-derived peptide studied for its role in glucose metabolism and exercise-like metabolic signaling. Not FDA-approved.
A compound studied for its role in supporting mitochondrial membrane function and reducing oxidative stress. Not FDA-approved.
A coenzyme central to cellular energy production and DNA repair pathways, often discussed in longevity and energy-support contexts.
Immune & inflammatory support
A naturally occurring immune-regulating peptide, studied for its role in T-cell function and immune balance. Approved in some countries for specific conditions; not FDA-approved in the U.S. for general use.
A tripeptide studied for its anti-inflammatory signaling, often discussed in the context of gut and skin inflammation. Not FDA-approved.
Gut health
A synthetic peptide studied for its role in intestinal barrier (tight junction) regulation, primarily researched for celiac disease. Not FDA-approved for general use.
Cognitive & mood support
A compounded peptide, delivered as a nasal spray, studied for effects on anxiety and cognitive function. Not FDA-approved.
A compounded peptide studied for neuroprotective and cognitive-support effects. Not FDA-approved.
Antioxidant & detoxification support
A naturally occurring tripeptide antioxidant, central to the body's detoxification pathways. Available as a supplement and, in some clinical settings, as an injectable.
Skin, anti-aging & longevity
A naturally occurring copper peptide studied for its role in collagen production and skin repair signaling.
A synthetic peptide studied in longevity research for its effects on cellular aging markers. Not FDA-approved.
Hormonal & libido support
FDA-approved (as Vyleesi) for a specific indication in women. Works through brain pathways involved in sexual arousal, rather than blood flow directly.
Peptides studied for their role in stimulating the body's own reproductive hormone axis, sometimes discussed alongside hormone therapy and fertility support.

FDA-approval status reflects general public information as of 2026 and can change — always confirm current status and appropriateness with a licensed clinician. Individual results vary, and most peptides discussed here carry limited human clinical trial data.
